A Personal Development Coach is someone who supports you to identify where you are in life and helps you to focus clearly on where you want to be. They will do this by actively listening, encouraging and motivating you. They will ask questions that no-one has ever asked you before which will lead to those ‘lightbulb’ moments. They will help you to identify and develop areas of strength (the good within us we don’t always see) and help you to plan how to achieve your goals at a far greater pace than you could achieve on your own, with the sole purpose of you achieving your goals and discovering a more fulfilling life.
This is influenced by what you want to achieve with your coaching. The sessions are developed to help you achieve clarity and move towards your goal. This may take as little as 6 sessions or it could be more. The most important thing is that you develop the tools necessary to help you continue to move forward after the coaching has ended. This is a personal decision and can be discussed with me in our initial conversation.
Generally, with the clients I work with, the coaching will take place over the phone, this tends to be the most convenient way for them to fit coaching into what can be very busy lives. For some clients, face-to-face works best and we can agree this along with the number of sessions needed in our initial conversation.
How often do we take quality time to invest in our own development, dreams and aspirations? This is what coaching will give you. It is the opportunity to spend quality time with someone who is solely dedicated to you and the achievement of your goals. The coach makes no judgements, the focus throughout is on being fully supportive and encouraging. The coach keeps you motivated on moving forward to a achieving a more fulfilling life much quicker than you could on your own.
